God is searching for worshipers that will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Our worship may look different from one another’s but that doesn’t matter, it’s the act of true and sincere worship that God desires.

God doesn’t want you to know about Him from a distance, nor does He want a causal relationship with you. God wants to be near you. He desires a deep personal relationship with each and every one of us. God is a seeker. He is seeking the opportunity to make His presence known to us. He wants you to know His manifest presence in your life!

Worship is the key to drawing God's presence into our lives. True & sincere worship is an invitation to God. It allows God to move like nothing else and attracts Heaven to Earth. God loves our worship with His whole heart, this is why He seeks out people who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth!

...true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." John 4:19-23 (NIV)

Worship isn’t only for church services, and it's not limited to songs and music. Worship, in the name of Jesus, can be a daily part of our lives! But how do we enter into true and sincere worship? How do we praise God for who He is in Spirit and in truth?

I invite you to watch this message, Spirit & Truth, from Worship Pastor Jaron Burkhardt. In this message Pastor Jaron shows us how we can enter into true and sincere worship in Spirit and in truth, attracting Jesus to us and in doing so experiencing a deeper manifest presence of God in every area of our lives!

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (NIV)

Show me your ways… (Exodus 33:13)

This Scripture is a section of prayer offered by Moses during a time of worship and personal reflection. And, in Scriptural context it is revealed that Moses had a great relationship with God! It seems the relationship was so intimate that he could ask God for almost anything. Understanding this setting makes it even more intriguing that Moses -- with a full menu of options -- would then choose to simply ask God, “Show me your ways.” It turned out to be a phenomenal decision, because in the New Testament, we see the exact opposite of Moses’ approach taking place as God expresses frustration with an entire generation. He points out that -- unlike Moses -- these people did not know Him or His ways and it cost them dearly.

...They have not known my ways so I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’ (Hebrews 3:10-11 NKJV)

These two passages of Scripture clearly reveal God has ways.

Throughout the Bible, we learn that God reveals Himself as Heavenly Father so that He may show us that His ways are for us. He then reveals Himself as The Son, showing us that His ways are to be with us. And, then in a climactic moment, recorded in Acts 2, God shows us through the outpouring and infilling of The Holy Spirit that His ways are to be in us. Realize, God doesn't just want to be for us or near us; He wants to be in us. Because of this staggering reality, there are specific ways God wants to move in our lives so that His ways can be revealed through us to others!

We must know God’s ways! Like Moses, we should be continually asking God to show us His ways. I believe Moses’ example in prayers reveals that he considered knowing the ways of God to be the most crucial thing you could learn. Paul would also agree!

But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely. (Galatians 5:22-23 MSG)

And, we can stand in agreement with both Moses and Paul. I am fascinated with this subject and the opportunity for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. I would be greatly honored to have a bit more of your time to share how we can learn more about God’s ways so that we calibrate our lives correctly and experience God to the fullest. We will even discuss how to meet with God!

Watch this message, Pigeon Religion, and you will also learn two principles that I believe will help you understand more about coming into alignment with God’s ways. Doing so may be the difference between seeing Ephesians 3:20 fulfilled or not fulfilled, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Don’t end up like the lost and displeasing generation of Israelites recorded in the book of Hebrews -- not knowing God or His ways. Be like Moses, and you can live a life of significance and success as you sync up with God’s ways! It’s an important choice. Choose wisely.

In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:6 NKJV)

It is not God’s intent for The Holy Spirit and the Word of God to be experienced separately. As we celebrate the Word of God in our lives, we must make room for the Holy Spirit to move. And as we celebrate the Holy Spirit in our lives, we must be intentional about making sure the Word of God is directing us. With these considerations in mind, if you haven't had the opportunity to watch last week's message, “What Shall We Do? I invite you to do so now, as it lays a significant foundation for where we are going in this series, The Silent Divorce.

We know that we have the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Heavenly Father represents God for us, the Son represents God with us, and the Holy Spirit represents God in us. Think about those truths! It’s incredible to know God is for us and with us, but everything goes to the next level when we contemplate God IN us!

Have you ever asked yourself these questions: How can I have more of God in me? How can I have more of the Holy Spirit in my life, in my family, in the trials and challenges I face?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, and are hungry for more of God in your life, then I invite you to watch this message, How to Have More of the Holy Spirit? And, learn the power associated with Heaven’s mission statement for the Holy Spirit in this verse:

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NKJV)

So many of us want more of God in our lives! And, in this message, I want to help you see what RT Kendall’s writings once helped me see: If you want more of the Holy Spirit in your life, then you need to know these seven principles.

  1. Know Your Bible

  2. Ask For It

  3. Seek God And Wait

  4. Live A Holy Life

  5. Value The Holy Spirit’s Fruits and Gifts Equally

  6. Seek Honor From God, And Not People

  7. Witness To People

Stop living a weak-anemic spiritual life. Start living a power-filled life. Seek everything that God has for you! Be intentional about developing an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. I would love to help teach you HOW these seven principles can change everything in your spiritual journey, as you learn WHY they are so crucial to you having the relationship you desire with the Holy Spirit.
